    Works perfectly on Mac M1 Pro.

    The auto update is a pain in the a** so if you don’t know what to do follow those steps :

    1 Extract the file you download it: Microsoft Office 2021 for Mac LTSC v16.80. You can use Unarchiver, 7Zip, Keka or any other extractor

    2 After extraction you’ll find 3 files: LTSC_2021_VL_Serializer.pkg, Setup.pkg. & some URL’s (you can delete them)
    3 Double click on Setup.pkg and follow the steps.

    4. After installation the Microsoft Updater will open. Accept and close everything.

    5 Double click on LTSC_2021_VL_Serializer.pkg and follow the steps.

    6 That’s all. Start any Microsoft service – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc – and enjoy it.

    How to Remove Microsoft AutoUpdate from MacOS (which is quite boring and useless as we are not gonna update this software legally)

    Open Spotlight and type :
    /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/

    Than, delete the Microsoft AutoUpdate file.

    Now enjoy =)

    Does somebody know why in some case it keep asking for activation? The serializer is not changing anything… Does something in Monterey blocking the serializer? Thanks for your help.

    … and I’ve tried everything. (disable SIP, license removal, office reset, complete uninstall, install older versions, etc., I even pass the serializer in the terminal with ‘xattr -cr ‘ and ‘codesign –force –deep –sign – ‘)
    It’s always worked for years, but this time there’s something blocking it and I can’t find the source. Something in the v16.80 provoque this and you can’t undo it.

      Hi! I had a similar problem and the office was connected to the old account with a deactivated license. I downloaded the Microsoft license removal tool and then installed the serializer again. Now it works.
