    This didn’t work for me. It kept requesting access to my computer. After giving it access several times it still kept asking for access.

    Hi,

    Do the following and it’ll work.

    1. Open Launchpad – Applications – Utilities – Terminal and paste the following command:
    sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist

    2. Press the Enter key, enter your user password, and then press the Enter key again. Please note that your password is not shown on the screen. It is absolutely normal. Please make sure that you enter it correctly.

    3. Restart your Mac and try a new scan with CleanMyMac X.

            Use “App Cleaner and Uninstaller” — look under ‘Startup Programs’ > System Daemons. You have either disabled this daemon or your system has blocked it. If it is not there, reinstall the app and click ‘yes’ when it asks to install a helper program.

            These things do need a basic understanding of using a mac. Else buy a copy and get paid support from Macpaw?

    Is there any way of running this app without disabling the System Integrity Protection (SIP)? Otherwise, it keeps pestering for an admin password.
    This is a great app but not at the expense of system integrity.

      Open the download and then drag and drop the pink logo into your Application folder. This app works perfectly on both M1 and x86 architectures.

    Works perfectly fine on M1 Big Sur but the app is not universal. I’m hoping for universal app but thank so much for the app.
