Works perfectly on M1 and Sonoma 14.3.1.
As usual: delete completely older versions and install the new one.

On Big Sur it loops trying to install new assistance tool.
I enter my correct mac password, and it asks again, and again…

    1. Use a free app like AppCleaner to remove all of the components of the older version of CMMX if you run an older version.
    2. Restart your computer.
    3. Turn off WIFI
    4. Open the CMMX ZIP file
    5. Drop the CMMX app into the APPLICATIONS folder.
    6. Double click the CMMX app to launch it.
    7. You may get a message that MacOS security will not open the app or perhaps nothing happens.
    8. Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS > PRIVACY AND SECURITY and select OPEN ANYWAY for CMMX (will ask for admin and password)
    9. Go to SYSTEM SETTINGS > PRIVACY AND SECURITY > FULL DISK ACCESS and turn switch beside CMMX (will ask for admin and password).
    10. CMMX will ask to restart itself, click OK/YES/RESTART
    11. Quit SYSTEM SETTINGS.
    12. Turn on WIFI
    13. Relaunch CMMX as use as usual.

    against endlessly asking for password:

Open Terminal and paste the following command I found on torrentmac 2 years ago:
    sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist
Press the Enter key, enter your user password, and then press the Enter key again. Please note that your password is not shown on the screen. It is absolutely normal. Please make sure that you enter it correctly.
Restart your Mac and try a new scan with CleanMyMac X.

      Thank you “ubuntu”!!
      Your cure works!!
I did this with disabled internet and I did not have to restart Mac.
I hope this cure is permanent for future scans..

      sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist

      Load failed: 5: Input/output error
Try running `launchctl bootstrap` as root for richer errors.

Seems to think some of my apps are dodgy Russian apps….i bet this app is Ukranian and they are “false triggering” good apps just because they are in conflict….shame really…..i wouldn’t trust it with a banana, let alone my M1….i suspect they’re the dodgy ones trying to “backdoor” your Mac; why else would they need “access” to certain sections of your OS ??? ….either way i’ve deleted this again !!

    Works on Sonoma and M2

It is not worth removing them because MACOs will reinstall them again.

After installing this application, my battery drain increased. My M1 MacAir got warm too. So i checked activity monitor after a few days, and this app was hogging RAM like crazy. So i deleted the whole app.
Paradoxal that an app designed to optimize ends up de-optimize your computer.
