What Almighty does on Mac
Almighty is a menu bar utility for macOS from Indie Goodies that exposes system tweaks, Finder controls, Dock options, and custom workflows without Terminal commands or long AppleScript snippets.
Developed by Khuong Pham, Almighty targets Mac power users who repeat the same configuration steps daily. Each tweak is a one-click or keyboard-shortcut action: lock the keyboard for cleaning, clear the clipboard, hide desktop icons, visualize keystrokes, black out the screen for presentations, or quit background apps. Workflows let you chain several tweaks and run them together, similar to a lightweight automation panel.

- System — keep awake, schedule shutdown, dark mode, mute audio or microphone, low power mode
- Finder — show hidden files, full path in title bar, FinderSync context actions
- Dock — spacers, preview windows, snap positions, hide menu bar items

Standalone vs App Store
The standalone build includes more than ninety tweaks; the Mac App Store edition is streamlined and omits some actions that Apple review policies restrict, such as certain Bluetooth, quit-app, and energy-saver controls marked in the vendor documentation. Setapp subscribers receive the full tweak set through that catalog. Basic tweaks are free to try; advanced actions require a Pro upgrade or the standalone license.
Typical Mac workflow
Pin favorite tweaks in the menu bar dropdown, assign hotkeys to the ones you use hourly, and build a presentation workflow that enables Do Not Disturb, hides desktop icons, and blacks out the screen in one step. Developers may add Xcode build-time tweaks and a Finder action to open Terminal at the current folder. Version 2.10.2 added a New Folder item to the Almighty Finder context menu; 2.10.5 focuses on reliability and a new image task.

Build 2.10.5 shipped June 5, 2026 according to the official Sparkle feed. Release notes list a new task to remove backgrounds from images, Swift 6 concurrency stability improvements, and more reliable FinderSync extension behavior. The build requires macOS 13.0 or later for the standalone channel; Homebrew and vendor docs align on Ventura as the floor for current 2.10.x releases.
Licensing and privacy
Almighty is free to download with a trial for Pro features. The standalone license is about $19.99 with lifetime updates on up to two Macs; the App Store Pro upgrade is about $9.99. The developer states that Almighty does not collect or track personal data. Some deep tweaks may need Accessibility or Full Disk Access permissions in System Settings.
