You have to run lmgrd every boot.
For example,
crontab -e
#insert this line
@reboot cd /usr/local/flexnetserver; ./lmgrd -c keyshot.dat

2. Check that installed application runs without problems and close it
3. Replace 2 files in folder
/Applications/KeyShot12.app/Contents/MacOS
4. Move folder flexnetserver to
/usr/local/
5. Execute <-terminal ????
cd /usr/local/flexnetserver
./lmgrd -c keyshot.dat
6. Launch Keyshot and choose activation with floating license server
7. Write "localhost" and go to next step
8. Done

Eric doesn’t have it working. He’s still waiting for HS to provide directions that make sense. HS said to insert a command line but gave no clear instructions on were to put it or how to make it work.

Hey folks
have make it works for me (m3 Sonoma)
just follow this steps :
1. Install keyshot_mac64_2024.1_13.0.0.92
2. Replace 2 files in folder /Applications/KeyShot.app/Contents/MacOS
3. Move folder flexnetserver to /usr/local/
4. Execute cd /usr/local/flexnetserver
5. ./lmgrd -c keyshot.dat
5.1 control + click on LUXION exe in /usr/local/flexnetserver
(because MACOS cannot verify it by itself)
6. Launch Keyshot and choose activation with floating license server
7. Write “localhost” and go to next step
8. Done
to make it work at every boot we have to create an automated task like so :
1. open terminal
2. type : env EDITOR=nano crontab -e
3. type : @reboot cd /usr/local/flexnetserver; ./lmgrd -c keyshot.dat
4. to save do : ctrl + x, Y, enter
5. and VOILA
u can check if the new cron is good by typing in terminal crontab -l
Now at every boot Imgrd gonna be launch automatically.
It also works for Keyshot 2024

Many thanks for this IKA! I used it on Keyshot 2024 and it worked perfectly!
The only thing I would add to make it just a bit clearer for the next person is in step 5.1:
5.1 control + click on LUXION exe in /usr/local/flexnetserver
and Open with Terminal
(because MACOS cannot verify it by itself)

Can you tell me more about where you think it’s going wrong ?
As me and TGS mention, it’s important to verify and accept access manually to LUXION exec by doing a control + clic on it and do open or open in terminal.

Thanks for replying! I needed to update my system, so now I got it finally working. The only thing what is not is the last part:
1. open terminal
2. type : env EDITOR=nano crontab -e
3. type : @reboot cd /usr/local/flexnetserver; ./lmgrd -c keyshot.dat
4. to save do : ctrl + x, Y, enter
So I have to repeat this part every time:
4. Execute cd /usr/local/flexnetserver
5. ./lmgrd -c keyshot.dat
Not really a big issue, I am not using it too much anyway.

That part should work too. Are you typing the commands into the Terminal or are you copying and pasting them from IKA’s directions? If typing, do copy/paste instead, to ensure you are entering it exactly as it is supposed to be.

Once I was able to use it in the way described above, but after a couple of days, it immediately displayed the following message and became unusable. What should I do?
Unknown Error
Error Code -16: Cannot read data from license server system.
The license server system appears to be running, but is not
responding. If this persists, notify the System Administrator.
(The license server manager (lmgrd) and vendor daemon processes
should be terminated and restarted.)
