With the March 2021 release, Photoshop runs natively on Apple Silicon devices, bringing speedier selections, filters, and performance boosts. For now, some features including Invite to edit and Synced presets, are available under emulation mode only.

Do you guys now how to install on M1 Macs? I tried everything, from “show package contents” and using the install from terminal. But I always end with the message “The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again.”
Did you guys have the same issue?
Is this possible to fix?

There is no solution for M1 chip. The solution you mentioned works for Intel processors only. We will have to wait. People lie here and there like the “yete” guy in comments, but I confirm that it’s not working and there is no fix for us. He is talking about rosetta, but obviously he doesn’t have m1 chip and can’t understand that we can’t even install the app to choose to run with rosetta later.

I can’t go for 2021 version as it doesn’t installs, but I installed 2020 version of photoshop and the trick of this guy worked in first attempt.

– Install Photoshop with Creative Cloud Desktop App

It works for me, MacBook Pro 2015 on Big Sur. I had to allow apps from anywhere in the terminal with this command line :
sudo spctl –master-disable

IT WORKS ON THE M1.
1-Install creative cloud.
2-Install photoshop directly from there.
3-Use the Adobe Zii 2021 6.1.0 universal Patcher to patch it.
4- Find photoshop 2021 in the finder right click and click “get info”. Then check “open using rosetta.”
5-Enjoy.

The thing is to make it work without Rosetta on M1 so we can achieve the best possible performance of Apple Silicon. Rosetta is basically running it at x86 (Intel) with emulation.

on M1 is not working even with entering in the info with cmd-i “open with rosetta” is not even an option is you press cmd+I before opening the installation.. Does anyone have a solution?

Doesn’t work on M1 chip (MacBook Air), even run it with terminal (from install – show package content – macos – install), all same issue with error. no solution for m1.
(The older version of photoshop can be installed but can’t run it with M1 chip).

Adobe Photoshop can run natively on m1 as per Adobe website: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/apple-silicon-m1-chip.html
I think there should be different download link for that (m1 version)

No matter what I did I couldn’t get the checkbox to ‘open with rosetta’ even after installing it.
What worked for me was that I opened photoshop in low res mode first then I unchecked that box and restarted the computer, so now I can open photoshop in its regular mode.

Of course you need to have an Adobe Creative Cloud account. And through Adobe Creative Cloud I updated v22.3.1 till v22.4 But the problem is Adobe Zii 2021 6.1.0 is not compatible with update v22.4
I just uninstalled Photoshop and installed again. Everything is working now. And no way for update.
