It work for me, iam using imac 2009 with a catalina patch.
    1. Go to firewall
    2. Unlock the preference panel.
    3. Firewall options.
    4. Add lightroom.
    5. Unchecked all options.
    And ok.
Restart the App and you good to go.

    It worked fo me.

    1) Uninstall any other versions from your Mac
    2) After download gets completed, turnoff your intenet.
    3) Install Lightroom.
    4) After installation Patch it using the Adobe Zii which is provided with this installer.
    5) Open light room , and it should work fine.
    6) Then turn on Internet

      Well it still doesn’t work.

Crashes when internet turn on, and if it’s off, Development module is disabled. “Need a license”

It works on MBP M1 on Big Sur 11.3.1. You need to downlad adobe creative cloud first and log in, then install lightroom, this way you will not receive error 501.
