Alfred 5 Powerpack 5.7.3 for Mac
Alfred is a macOS productivity app from Running with Crayons. The base app is free and covers fast app and file search from the keyboard; the Powerpack is a paid license that unlocks workflows, clipboard history, snippets, deep file actions, themes, and related power features. Version 5.7.3 (build 2320, 1 April 2026) is a small maintenance release on the Alfred 5 line.
What Alfred does on Mac
Alfred sits above macOS with a hotkey-driven search bar. You can launch applications, open files, run web searches, paste from clipboard history, expand text snippets, and— with Powerpack—chain visual workflows that automate repetitive tasks without opening multiple apps.
Powerpack highlights documented on the official site include custom web and file search scopes, clipboard history for text and images, snippet auto-expansion, file actions from the keyboard, contacts integration, Terminal and script execution, 1Password bookmark search, settings sync via services like Dropbox, and thousands of community workflows from the Alfred Gallery and forums.
Alfred 5 foundation
Alfred 5 (2022 onward) rewrote the Workflow Editor for better performance and accessibility, added Automation Tasks and macOS Shortcuts integration, improved universal search, and introduced rich workflow views such as Text View and Grid View. Those capabilities require Powerpack; the free tier remains useful as a launcher and basic search tool.
Recent 5.7 line (context)
Before 5.7.3, the 5.7 release (September 2025) targeted macOS 26 Tahoe readiness, including overhauled built-in System Settings search and related fixes. Version 5.7.2 (December 2025) adjusted File Search fallback ranking after metadata index changes. Version 5.7.3 itself does not add major features in the public changelog—only compatibility-oriented changes.
Version 5.7.3 and requirements
Official release notes for 5.7.3 list mitigation for a macOS Tahoe window rendering issue when using multiple Desktop Spaces, plus an updated Xcode build environment. Alfred is Developer ID signed and notarized. The site lists compatibility as macOS 10.14 or later on 64-bit Intel and Apple Silicon. Powerpack is sold as a single-user license (pricing on alfredapp.com); existing Alfred 5 Powerpack owners receive free updates within the license terms.
Just the basic Alfred without power pack. As such no better than Finder!!
Does not include Powerpack (workflows don’t work).
Mount the image and launch Open Gatekeeper.
Press Enter to bypass Gatekeeper in the terminal window.
Drag the application to the Applications folder.
The application is ready to use.
