Oka Unarchiver Pro
A Mac App Store archive utility from ChengHao Wu (Oka Apps) that extends beyond macOS Archive Utility by opening RAR, 7Z, and many legacy formats while creating password-protected ZIP files.
Typical Mac workflow
You drop archives onto the app window or Dock icon, or use the Finder extension to compress, extract, or preview contents from the right-click menu. The main window accepts a batch list: one click archives everything queued for ZIP creation, and another extracts every supported container it detects. Password-protected archives and multi-part ZIP sets are supported, though split volumes often need all parts added manually because Mac App Store sandbox rules limit automatic folder scanning, per the developer FAQ.
Extraction covers 7Z, ZIP, RAR, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2, XZ, LZIP, ACE, ISO, CAB, PAX, JAR, AR, CPIO, and additional formats listed on the store page; compression is limited to ZIP, including optional multi-volume output. Quick Look preview works for ZIP contents, and the 2.0 interface refresh streamlined drag-and-drop operation. User reviews note success with older StuffIt .sit files where other tools failed.

Oka Unarchiver Pro is sold as a $7.99 standalone Mac App Store app with Family Sharing. The same codebase also ships free as Unzip Pro 2 with optional VIP upgrades (about $7.99 lifetime, or monthly or yearly subscriptions) that remove ads and unlock volume compression and password protection. Version 2.1.14 is the current build on the Unzip Pro 2 listing; the separate Pro SKU may still show an older store version until Apple updates both listings. Build 2.1.14 documents only general bug fixes. Requires macOS 10.13 or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
