Rectangle Pro 3.80 for Mac
Rectangle Pro is a paid window manager for macOS built on top of the open-source Rectangle app (formerly marketed as Hookshot). It adds cursor-based window throw, custom snap zones, multi-window layouts, edge stash, and deeper shortcut control—while keeping Rectangle’s keyboard shortcuts and drag-to-edge snapping.
Window throw and snapping
Hold a modifier and drag from a small on-screen anchor to place the active window into one of 16 common sizes and positions—even if that window is not focused. Repeat the same gesture to cycle sizes where configured. Drag windows to screen edges for classic snap areas, or define custom snap targets and use a configurable snap panel for one-click placement.

Pro-only workflow tools
Stash hides windows along screen edges until the pointer touches the edge—handy for reference panels. Pin one app to a side, use an enhanced todo mode, and fully customize the menu bar command list. Import shortcut sets from free Rectangle; sync preferences over iCloud across Macs.
Free Rectangle vs Pro
Rectangle (free, open source) covers solid keyboard and snap-area window management. Pro is a separate commercial build (bundle ID com.knollsoft.Hookshot) with the full Rectangle engine plus Pro features. Not on the Mac App Store—sold via the developer site with a 10-day trial and one-time Paddle license. Requires macOS 10.15+; older macOS builds are archived on the versions page (for example 3.79 for macOS 12–13.4).

3.80 is the current direct-download release on the official Pro homepage. Cultured Code does not publish a public web changelog per build—release details appear in the in-app Sparkle update prompt. Install 3.80 for the latest stability and macOS compatibility fixes on the 3.8 maintenance line.
