Parallels Desktop Business Edition v17.1.2.51548 Multilingual macOS

Parallels Desktop is one of the oldest and most popular applications for virtualization on macOS. There are quite a few options out there for Mac users who want to run other operating systems on their Apple devices, but none are quite as intuitive and novice-friendly as Parallels.

This app allows you to Run Windows, various flavors of Linux, ChromeOS, Android, and many other operating systems in virtual machines, and it makes setting up and configuring these VMs incredibly straightforward. Much of the process is automated, and the virtualized OSes integrate well with macOS.

Anyone can start up a virtual machine with Parallels
It really is that simple. Compared to alternatives like VirtualBox or VMware, it is much easier to create a virtual machine and install an OS. For instance, if you want a Windows 10 VM, the startup wizard guides you through the entire process. It only takes a few clicks and absolutely no technical knowledge.

If you skip the initial Win10 wizard, Parallels still has an installation assistant that can help you set up Windows, Linux, and many other operating systems. The Windows 10 Test and Development environments are available for free, as are numerous Linux flavors and Android, and you can even install macOS from the recovery partition or convert a Boot Camp installation to a VM.

Excellent integration with macOS
Aside from installing Windows via Boot Camp, which isn’t likely to be supported on Apple Silicon, Parallels offers possibly the most seamless experience when running another operating system on your Mac.

MacBook Pro users can add Windows apps to the Touch Bar, Office integration lets documents in Safari open in their native Windows apps, and full support is available for Retina displays for the best visual experience.

Sharing files between your Mac and Windows VM could not be easier, as files on the desktop are instantly accessible from either OS, no matter where they were created.

If you want to take things one step further, just enable Coherence Mode. Once it is active, all applications in your Windows VM will appear in separate windows directly on your Mac’s desktop, almost as if they were running natively on macOS.

Not just for beginners
Of course, Parallels Desktop is available in multiple editions, with the Pro and Business variants geared towards professionals and enterprises respectively. While the Standard edition includes most features, it limits the amount of RAM and virtual CPUs you can use for each VM and lacks some advanced deployment and management tools.

These include integration with Docker, Vagrant, and Microsoft Visual Studio, among others, VM transferring and deployment capabilities, debugging tools, and centralized administration and management.

Probably the best virtualization application for macOS
Whether you’re just starting out or you have a lot of experience with running VMs, nothing can beat the streamlined experience you get with Parallels, and it doesn’t lose out to its competitors when it comes to the number of available features either.

With Boot Camp seemingly doomed on Apple Silicon, Parallels will likely be one of the few virtualization options available for M1 Mac users.

Windows:

  • To meet the Windows 11 requirements and increase compatibility with Windows 11, a virtual TPM chip is added automatically to new Windows 11 virtual machines. This improvement also simplifies creating new installations of Windows 11, installing Windows 11 updates and upgrading to Windows 11.
  • For new Windows 10 virtual machines created on Mac computers with the Apple M1 chip, a virtual TPM chip is added automatically.
  • When a TPM chip is added to the virtual machine configuration, Windows Secure Boot is enabled automatically.

Linux:

  • Support for VirGL in Virtio GPU which enables Linux 3D acceleration out of the box in supported Linux distributions, brings visual performance improvements, and allows using the Wayland protocol in Linux virtual machines.

macOS 12 Monterey:

  • Full support for macOS 12 Monterey as a host operating system.
  • Improved support for macOS 12 Monterey virtual machines on Mac computers running Monterey and equipped with the Apple M1 chip:
  • Install Parallels Tools in macOS 12 Monterey and copy and paste text between the virtual machine and Mac.
  • The default virtual machine disk size has been increased from 32 to 64 GB.

    Can’t install activate printer USB, windows driver still not work.

    The original 14day demo works fine with printer . I need the original windows driver , because Canon not able to build a proper Mac driver

    Search PD Runner 0.3.6 on Google, it will let you run official Parallels Desktop trial after it expired! Works with M1

    For all those who have M1 use PDrunner 0.3.6 with the original version. The trial reset work’s great, I’ve been using it for a month on my m1 pro with no issues.

    All M1 users…. Download “PD Runner 0.3.6”. Its a utility that lets you use full featured trial version of Parallels without expiry. No crack needed, update from parallels auto updater.

    USB not work
    1) Close Parallels completely
    2) In Terminal, type : sudo nano /Library/Preferences/Parallels/network.desktop.xml (this will open the Terminal text editor “nano”)
    3) Type your admin password to access the file
    4) Locate this line -1 it could be also value 1 and replace whatever value there with 0, so you should have 0
    5) Press Ctrl+O to ask for a save, then Ctrl+X to close the editor
    In Terminal, type : sudo nano /Library/Preferences/Parallels/dispatcher.desktop.xml
    find 0 and change 0 to 1
    again Press Ctrl+O to ask for a save, then Ctrl+X to close the editor
    6) Close Terminal and open Parallels like normal, your VM should load like on Catalina and before

    Monetary on intel in general it works
    but USB Problems
    the Terminal thing 0 to 1 don’t help
    the demo of parallels work with same window Install correct
    only this and previous Hacked one have this USB Problems

    I confirm. My trial/expired version of Parallels works with PD Runner on an M1 MBP.
    It might not be safe, but if you’re concerned with safety, maybe you shouldn’t be here. 😀

    It works 100%, you only have to apply the same fixes as the previous version (network, USB, and desktoputilities.dll patch). These are the same fixes since version 16.5… 😉
    Just did the update this morning and it works flawlessly on an Intel mackintosh (Monterey 12.3.1)

      well even with PDRunner, when the Parallel trial ends, some applications dont work properly. For example, I use Autocad and after the trial ends, the program was freezing etc. So even that is not a solution.

    why is there always a problem with serial, i have Intel i5 the app works fine but this serial problem is just so stupid, do i have to do somthing before installing the app and removing the old one?
    is there a file where the logs and serial is located or how tf do i get around this shtty serial issue

    Running well on MBP 16 intel 2019 but have some usb problem.
    Try using PD Runner and install the original version. Run well and all works.

    Does anyone knows, how can I use PD runner if I install Parallels again after the trial ends? I had the trial without Pd runner, and now Pd runner won’t work without the trial of Parallels. Unfortunately, parallels doesn’t let me use trial again so I am stuck. Thanks

      When trial expired, just start the PD Runner (Or set it to start at login) and then clik then PD Runner Icon, choose your VM and click Start
      It will start the parallels desktop and your VM. don’t forget to check the “Block trial alert”. a bit annoying LOL

    Installation complete, however its asking me to create a Parallels account. I thought it would be “out-of-the-box functional” / does anyone have a workaround or should i download the PD Runner?

      Don’t update it. Uninstall and reinstall without updating it. Shut off network before installation if required.

    Intel 6. Generation Processor runned on my hackintosh machine by Skylake.
    After first installation, during the start of virtual machine, an unknown error and web error occured.
    The reason for unknown error was that Apple was selected as default to create the virtual machine. I applied the following way to solve that problem:

    I entered the Advanced section of the virtual machine’s configuration > CPU & Memeory section and selected Hypervisor, changed it to Parallels and set the Adaptive Hypervisor option to true.

    I have to do this manually on all virtual machines I create.
    The second issue was network related. Virtual Machine had network problem before starting. I don’t want to cause confusion by listing all the methods I’ve tried to solve this problem. In fact, I realized that there was no problem when I solved it.
    After installation, give the application all the privileges it requires, via macOS. Then exit the application completely.
    Open terminal and execute

    sudo -b /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_client_app

    command and run the application with full privileges. Now you can work as you want on your virtual machine.
    This holds true every time you run the application. So instead of running it with the application icon, you will have to run it through the terminal with privileges by the command I shared above.

      Network fix.

      Edit Parallel Desktop Preferences

      1. Exit Parallels completely. Launch the Activity Monitor and close all the Parallels processes that might still be running in the background.
      2. Launch Terminal.app and run command… sudo nano /Library/Preferences/Parallels/network.desktop.xml
      3. Locate the -1 line (5th line down from the top).
      4. Then change it to 0.
      5. Press Ctrl and O to save the changes, and then Ctrl and X to exit the XML file.
      6. Restart your Mac. Launch Parallels again and check if Wi-Fi is available on your Windows
      10-11 virtual machine.

    Works on High Sierra 10.13.6, but it is Trial Version. it is the same as you download from Parallels website.
    Find some older version that works as full app, not trial.

    Hello Ramin ! I’ve found a solution !!!!

    for people who want to use PD Runner. If you get the error “get the free trial…” just change the date and time of your Mac to the day before you claim the Parallels trial then click on “test Parallels” and it will work
    and PD Runner will work too!
    You can then set the correct date again.
