So…. Check it out, yo… I added Absynth (the standalone app) to System Settings / Privacy & Security / Full Disk Access, and the AU Instrument now shows up in Logic Pro. Funny that the VST worked fine in Reason without giving full access to Absynth…
Tahoe M4 Pro – Logic AU instrument doesn’t work, but AU FX does, whilst VST instrument and FX works in Reason. The issue seems to be with the AU plugin. But if you work with a VST DAW, it’s fine.
Works perfect! Tested on m1, m2, and even intel, all running macOS 26.2.
1. Open installer, right click on installer app
2. Select “Show Package Contents”
3. Navigate Contents > MacOS > run “osx-arm64” (for Apple Silicon) or “osx-x86_64 “(for Intel Macs)
4. If you get a dialog box with security warning then click “Done”
5. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll until you see “Open anyway” and click on it
6. Another dialog box will appear, click on “Open anyway” and use your mac password or fingerprint ID.
7. Follow instructions for Install.
8. Done
