    to make this work you must block the hosts file

    change it manually or use

    it is also a good idea to use little snitch or radio silence

    I’ve installed and followed all directions (little snitch, locales, crack, settings, etc) but when I open it I can work for a minute or two and it crashes constantly. And I still get the “trying to verify your subscription” popup from time to time. Any idea what is going on and how I can resolve this?

18. This doesn’t work. I followed the steps verbatim and in the end, I was left with a Photoshop that launched but unable to open any documents..

    Once clicking CMD+O to open a file, I see the button widget with the method text (i,e, pickerViewFooter.button.switchToOSPicker”) instead of simply “Open”. It is a dead button (it doesn’t do anything once clicked). I followed the Locale step as well.

23. Has anybody tried the “Genuine service fix”?

    1. Joe, I have, and it works very well. After installation, I was having the “Non Genuine….” red screen, I run the Genuine Fix and no more red screens and program runs fine.

       1. Where do I get this “Genuine Service Fix”? I’ve installed as per James’ instructions but it appears to crash almost instantly every time I open it, and when it does stay open long enough to make an edit or two I get that “Non Genuine” overlay and then it closes…

24. Question, do you have to keep the creative cloud app once this installer is done or can you uninstall it? I noticed it was installed it with this version but not with Adobe Photoshop 2024 v25.2.

    And also, is this release compatible with Sonoma 14.2.1? If not, I was going to put off upgrading.

Hi Omek, just ignore the Creative Cloud app/installer just like any other app that you have no use/interest in…e.g. i have Apple TV installed but have never clicked on it because i don’t watch TV…the Books app is the same; never clicked/opened it simply because i have no use for it. It’s not taking up a lot of hard drive space (CC) so i would just leave it sat there…also as stated above this version works just fine on my M1 Sonoma 14.2.1.

       1. Thank you so much, James! Ya, we ran into quirky problems removing Creative Cloud from startup items, so now I just let it do its thing. It’s not really hurting anything, so it’s fine. We still run Lulu, so it usually catches any unwanted Adobe checks.

          Thank you for letting me know about Sonoma as well. That’s good to know for when we upgrade from Ventura.

    1. Hey Joe (isn’t that a famous song) …i didn’t say this version had AI features, others may or may not have them…i don’t need or use them, so if they are missing or disabled then all i can suggest is downloading version 25.0.0 as from what i’ve read the AI features work on version 25.0.0.

          “For features such as Generative Fill, Neural Filters and Generative Recolor to work you must use the other version of the patcher.”

          So maybe your “instructions” are just bullshit, and we need to choose different options in the patcher.

    I predict 25 responses from people who can’t/won’t/ignore the help & advice given freely by those who are patient and clearly explain how to install the app, …yet the numpties will still moan/gripe/blame/other instead of just reading/following the bleedin instructions given.

    1. I dont generally wanna whine and I love instructions, and maybe im just dumb, but im having trouble installing and the read.txt has the very helpful step by step descriptive instructions of “Install and apply the patch.”

       If im missing some document or page feel free to point out where I can find it and also call me an idiot if that helps, because i kinda need this program and I dont care what you call me as long as you tell me where the instructions actually are

       1. Hi ddsds, dowload the torrent, it’s a zip-file…unpack the zip file…inside you will find 3 more zip files and a “READ.TXT” (aka instructions).

          1) “Install and apply the patch.”….so, unzip the Setup.zip…and go inside the Setup folder, then go inside the next folder….there will be 2 folders and 2 files…go inside the “Build folder”…there will be an Install.pkg and an Uninstall.pkg….click and run the Install.pkg….this will take a while to install….anything that pops up from your “Little-Snitch” should be “forever” & “blocked”….it will look like it’s hanged/frozen; just be patient…it will eventually install….it over 6gig !!

          2) what, what, what is “Little Snitch” (mentioned above) ….if you’re having to ask this then the chances are step 1 has either failed or other things have happened….in which case don’t go any further….get Little Snitch or avoid “hooky-software”….or….subscribe to Adobe; your choice 😉

          3) Do not run or open PhotoShop…a little kitten will die somewhere, seriously, don’t do it.

          4) If nothing ugly has happened (because you have Little-Snitch or similar) then goto 5)

          5) Go back to the main folder you unzipped the download (torrent) into….unzip “Crack.pkg.zip”…it will make a yellow pkg file called “Crack.pkg”….click on this, click Continue, click Continue…and then and ONLY then click the 6th option down “Photoshop v25x”…leave the other boxes unticked…click Install.

          …..This concludes the 1st part of the “Read.txt” ….

          6) Go back to the main folder you unzipped the download (torrent) into….unzip “Locales.zip”….it will create a folder called “Locales”.

          7) Go into this new Locales folder and choose your preferred language….i had to choose “en_US” as there was no en_GB 🙁 option….but hey ho Yanky English is good enough for me, so it will do…anyhow choose yours (not mine)….right click and COPY the folder.

          8) Goto your Applications folder….click into the “Adobe Photoshop 2024” folder….there you will see a “Locales” folder…click into it.

          9) Right click inside this Locales folder and PASTE your preferred language choice you Copied earlier in Step 7) above….if it already exist then choose REPLACE.

          …..This concludes the 2nd part of the “Read.txt” ….

          10) Now (not any time before) you can OPEN your shiny new install in your Applications….yaaay me.

          11) DON’T do anything else other than Step 12) or bad things will happen to little kittens all around the world…seriously don’t open a file, don’t play with shit, just ressist the tempatation and follow Step 12)

          12) Once your Photoshop has opened go straight upto the menu-bar and click “Photoshop 2024″….then scroll down a little to “Settings”…goto the right and click “Interface”….just past half way is “Presentation” and a box (UI Language) to the right…select the choice you COPIED earlier in Step 9) ….click OK on the top right corner….now goto your menu-bar and click QUIT PHOTOSHOP…don’t do anything else like start on a project or some other shit, just QUIT the app or again bad things happen to lil kitties and we don’t want that to happen now do we.

          …..This concludes the 3rd and final part of the “Read.txt” ….

          Enjoy your Photoshop….and….if….for some reason it has gone buttwank then there is no hope and i’m gonna go and kick my cat ffs 😉

              Now I receive “this is unlicensed photoshop app will be disabled soon.”
              I did find out if I turn off the internet, Ps will work, but that’s a bummer. M1 here.

    2. Not whining but installed OK on both macbook and imac. Macbook runs os10.15.7 but it wont open on that system. Imac runs Big Sur and is fine. The note on this edition says it will run on 10.15.7 but it wont. Nor will previous version. Maybe there are issues with individual setups? Its not straightforward.
