Typical uninstall and cleanup workflow
Open App Cleaner & Uninstaller, scan installed software, and select apps to remove. The tool maps each bundle to associated service files using a database of 20,000+ third-party apps, then lets you review what will be deleted before confirming. Bulk uninstall suits spring-cleaning sessions; the Remaining Files module finds leftovers from apps removed earlier. You can reset an app to first-launch state by clearing its support data without deleting the binary, which helps when troubleshooting misbehaving software.
Beyond removal, the same interface covers software updates (App Store apps, direct-download titles, and Homebrew casks), startup/login items, Safari and system extensions, and default “Open with” associations. Basic mode keeps the UI simple; Expert mode exposes more file-level detail for power users.
Security insights and licensing
Version 9.x added Security Insights: permission audits for camera, microphone, location, and folder access, Apple notarization checks, and AI App Summary overviews (Apple Intelligence) to explain what installed apps do. Version 9.2 lets you review and revoke app permissions from within the uninstaller and adds Skip List controls for specific update versions you want to ignore.
The app supports macOS 11 Big Sur through macOS 27 Golden Gate on Intel and Apple Silicon, is Apple-notarized, and ships in nine languages. Nektony offers a 2-day full-feature trial; Pro features then require subscription (from about $7.95/month) or a one-time purchase. The free tier can still scan and locate leftovers manually after trial expiry.

Build 9.2.4 (July 2026) is an incremental release in the 9.2 line after 9.2.1–9.2.3. Nektony’s public release-notes page currently documents features through 9.2 (May 2026) and does not itemize 9.2.4-specific changes—treat this build as a maintenance update on top of the 9.2 permission-management and updater improvements unless Nektony publishes a dedicated changelog entry.
