DeskCover Pro is a low-key macOS application created with this exact purpose in mind: to allow its users to swiftly add a cover over their busy desktop, and to go into single window mode when they have to avoid distractions and to focus on the task at hand.

Once started, DeskCover Pro adds a status bar item which helps you toggle the desktop cover and to isolate the frontmost window, as well as view the global keyboard shortcuts associated to each of these two features.

It is important to mention that while using the DeskCover Pro app to cover your desktop, you can choose to have it hidden behind a solid color, behind your Mac’s system wallpaper, or behind an image of your choice.

DeskCover Pro also comes with a window focus feature which works by automatically darkening all other windows behind the foreground one when you either toggle on the “Isolate Frontmost Window” option from the menu bar or when using the ⌃ + ⌥ + I global keyboard shortcut.

Additionally, the DeskCover Pro app also features an “Isolate multiple Windows” mode which enables you to keep between two and five windows isolated for keeping your work area as free of distractions as possible.

Furthermore, DeskCover Pro works flawlessly when having to cover up thedesktop, and it allows you to set it to start on login, to cover thedesktop on its own once it launches and to customize its global keyboardshortcuts if they conflict with the ones you already configured on yourMac.
