Create your perfect take
Take recording and comping
Live organizes multiple passes of an audio or MIDI performance into individual takes. Pick the best moments of each performance and combine them to create your perfect take. Or approach sound design in a new way by splicing together random samples from your library.
Linked-track editing
Link two or more tracks to edit their content simultaneously. This makes editing multi-tracked instruments or performances with multiple musicians easy and fast whilst keeping everything in time across tracks. This feature also works for MIDI tracks.
Add more feeling to your music
Use your MPE-capable controller
Plug in your MPE-capable controller and immediately add bends, slides and pressure for each individual note in a chord. Add subtle expression variations, morph between chords and create evolving sonic textures.
What is MPE?
MPE stands for MIDI Polyphonic Expression. This way of using MIDI allows MPE-capable devices to control multiple parameters of every note in real time for more expressive instrumental performances.

Hybrid Reverb
Hybrid Reverb combines convolution and algorithmic reverbs. Place your sounds in any space, from accurate real-life environments to those that defy physical reality. Use the algorithmic side to add control and modulate the reverb tail, run it in parallel or in series with the convolution side, or play Hybrid Reverb like an instrument for real-time sound design.
Spectral Resonator
Breaks the spectrum of an incoming audio signal into partials, then stretches, shifts and blurs the result by a frequency or a note in subtle or radical ways. The MIDI sidechain input also allows musicians to process material in key and even play the device as if it were a polyphonic instrument.
Spectral Time
Transforms sound into partials and feeds them into a frequency-based delay, resulting in metallic echoes, frequency-shifted and reverb-like effects. The Freeze function captures and holds a slice of audio – either free-running or in time with the beat – for stuttered, glitched and washed-out effects.
PitchLoop89
Create jittery glitch effects, delayed digital shimmers and outlandish vibrato with this Max for Live pitch shifting device created in collaboration with Robert Henke and inspired by the Publison DHM 89 – an early digital effects processor. It’s a flexible tool to add character to sounds in the studio, or for in-the-moment experimentation onstage.

Tempo Following
Live listens to and adjusts its tempo based on incoming audio in real time, making it a dynamic part of the band instead of the tempo source that everyone has to follow. When you DJ, you can even turn Live into a tempo-synced FX box.
Macro Snapshots
Store the state of your Macros for later recall – perfect for creating instant variations to your sounds or builds and drops during performance.
Rack improvements
Configure your Racks to have between 1 and 16 Macros. Randomize the state of your Macros with the randomization button. Map this control to MIDI and perform drastic changes in real time to surprise your audience and yourself.
Be unpredictable
Note chance
Set the probability that a note or drum hit will occur and let Live generate surprising variations to your patterns that change over time.
Velocity chance
Define ranges for velocity probability for subtle, humanized variations in the dynamics of your patterns.

Follow Actions can now be linked to the clip length, making it faster to create interesting sequences of clips. Scene Follow Actions let you create evolving arrangements. You can also set Follow Actions to jump to specific clips and enable and disable Follow Actions globally.

please open terminal and type chmod +x and then drag the document file to the terminal for the path and then click enter it will become a exec file

Hi there is a bit missing in the instructions.
Go to terminal and type chmod +x (or just copy and paste it from here) then grab the Patched Live file and drop it on terminal then press enter, type your password in case it asks for it.
This will turn the file Live to an .exe file (the icon will look like an 80’s computer program)
Then follow instructions as in the Install Notes, from point 2.
For authorisations go with the option 5.b, it works better.
You will need a keygen so go and grab wine or Play on Mac (depending what OS you are on) install it then right click on the keygen file (Keygen-R2R/Ableton_KeyGen) and open with Wine or Play on Mac, alternatively you can do the same using a Windows PC if you don’t know how to use Wine or Play on Mac on a Mac machine.
Keygen will generate a file Authorize.auz, make sure you find the desktop through the Wine or Play on Mac explorer, best bet is to look for users then your name then desktop otherwise it will drop the file inside the virtual machine and could confuse you, alternatively drop it on a usb, the just drag that Authorize.auz on Ableton.
Make sure you have stopped automatic updates, get automatic updates and send usage data off, otherwise it will detect your crack and disable Ableton.

hey! thanks for your detailed instruction. i have a question, i have followed your instruction to put the patched file into terminal. but the file “LIVE” didn’t change into .exe file. I followed the rest of installation steps but the ableton is not opening. Can you help?

OKAY. so, i followed these instructions and it asked for my password after I followed point 3. But i can’t type anything. It just shows a key icon, and I cant type anything. Am I doing anything wrong?

I had the same problem, but delete Ableton again, follow the instructions above until when you open the Terminal, and type on your terminal: sudo chmod -R 777 (then in this line you drag the Ableton Live Icon from your Applications folder or instead write: sudo chmod -R 777 /Applications/Ableton\ Live\ 11\ Suite.app

It worked for me. Macbook Air 2017.
For more tips, check out all the comment sections on the other Ableton versions updated to the website. This provided me with enough tips to get it through. Just authorized with keygen generated file, everything seems good.

i have found a solution that worked on mac os big sur.
after installing the app, open the Patched folder and Open Live.doc in TextEditor, Press ctrl+a and ctrl+C after that open /Applications/Ableton\ Live\ 11\ Suite.app/Contents/MacOS/Live with TextEditor, press ctrl+a and backspace, paste the text you’ve copied from the patched file and save it in the TextEditor, Now open ableton, drag Authorize.auz into it and everything should work perfectly.
if you have issues with opening the KeyGen .exe on M1 just use Parralels and emulate windows 10.

It worked for a couple weeks, but then it asked to reauthorize and the authorize.auz file is not valid anymore…

I followed all the steps. Authorization accepted BUT Ableton makes noise.

Everything worked until the authorisation, but the auz file gives me the message ‘this authorisation file is invalid on this computer’

I had the same error. When installing, do it with internet offline.
In preferences/Licenses Maintenance change “Automatic Updates” To NEVER.
Then you can use internet again.
Problema was that the software automatically starts updating the cracked version and eventually the cracked file doesnt work anymore.
