Stable Parallels Desktop 26.x officially targets macOS Tahoe 26 on Apple Silicon and Intel hosts per Parallels documentation. Build 27.0.0-58597 is a pre-release beta aligned with Apple’s macOS 27 Golden Gate cycle—similar to how version 26 tracked macOS 26 numbering. Golden Gate itself is Apple-silicon-only as a host OS; Intel Mac users remain on earlier macOS and Parallels 26 lines per Parallels guidance.
Parallels states it is actively validating Golden Gate compatibility and publishes known issues in its Knowledge Base rather than a full public changelog for every beta build. Reported beta pain points include macOS 27 VM creation stalling on some host setups (notably with Xcode 27 on macOS 26.5.1 or earlier) and forum reports of VM full-screen or Touch ID quirks on Golden Gate beta hosts when running older 26.x builds—exactly the class of problems a 27.x beta is meant to address.

Choose this beta if you are testing macOS 27 Golden Gate on a non-production Mac and need Windows or Linux VMs to keep working on that host, or if you want macOS 27 guest VMs for compatibility testing before a fleet rollout. Avoid it on primary production machines: Parallels recommends waiting for official compatibility confirmation before upgrading mission-critical systems, and stable 26.4.0 remains the vendor’s current public release line.
