Hey y’all here is a more in depth installation guide
1. Install winzip
you will need this application to access the .rar file. You can torrent this app on torrentmac
2. Open the fab filter .rar file with winzip
3. run the installer
4. Replace the K’d files
this is a bit tricky. You will need to replace the files in your Mac hard drive. You can find this clicking on your finder and the opening setting in the top left corner. Under general, checkmark the button next to “hard disks”
a new icon will appear on your desktop. This is your hard drive and this is where the K’d Files need to be replaced.
unzip each folder and replace in the correct locations. This is the destination of each group of files:
AAX
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins
AU
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components
VST
Macintosh HD:/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
VST3
Macintosh HD:/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
Glad that’s finished.
5. Open terminal. You can find this by clicking the magnifying glass in the top right corner and typing in terminal.
copy and paste each command into the terminal separately and press enter after each one. It will ask for your password. Type it in and press enter even if it doesn’t look like youre typing anything.
Example:
” sudo xattr -cr ” “enter”
*it asks for password* “Enter password” “enter” (it will only ask for your password once)
“sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine” “enter”
” sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – ” “enter”
Congratulations! you can can now access all these modules in your favorite DAW.
I followed the steps exactly but it still says I have 30 days left in my evaluation period when I open the FF plugins inside the DAW.
What do I do?
