Ive been trying to play a game for over a month now and can’t seem to get it to work. I’ve already ran the license.tool so that fine. I just can’t seem tog et steam to run and play ANY games. I have a brand new MacBook M2 Max.
Dude. go to youtube and watch tutorial. I am happy right now gaming on my Mac M2. Cyberpunk, GTA 5 and many more. See ya, want to gaming.
This DOES in fact work.
Instructions:
Manual install > Open the .dmg file > Drag and drop the CrossOver app to Applications > /Volumes/CrossOver\ 23.0.1\ 1/Extra/croslic/license.tool; exit
(Type in terminal, this command launches the license.tool file from the “EXTRA” > “croslic” folder.
Eject the disk images and NOW YOU CAN USE CROSSOVER. You’re welcome. Tell me if it worked.

I’m not an expert, but mac isn’t designed for playing video games. You should ask someone in the CrossOver community or do some research on how to install games. Sorry I can’t help.

The solution is really simple: In the installation from the dmg file called “CrossOver_23.0.1_Torrentmac.net.dmg” choose Manual Install, inside this folder you will find the file called “CrossOver 23.0.1.dmg” double click to open and there you find the Crossover.app with the on screen instructions to drag and drop to your Applications folder, look into the Extra folder that you can see in that screen and you will find the folder called “croslic” and a file called “README.pdf”, follow the instructions in that pdf file, and voila!
..tried on monterey, yes the lic file works, but when you try to open unlisted installer exe file it freezes….
doesn’t work. asks for license. there’s no crack in this one. Use 23.0
Confirmed. This version update is not properly cracked. A pop-up appears saying “This is a time limited trial version of Crossover. It will stop working in 14 days.” No extra info is given within the text file in the dmg or on the description given here

Where exactly is the crossllic folder and license.tool file? I cannot find them anywhere?
