1. Try with SIP disabled.

2. 1- Uninstall old version
   2- Install Adguard
   3- Open little snitch network monitor
   4- Open Adguard and finish setting it up.
   5- Check little Snitch and block only “api.adguard.org” (do not block the entire adguard)
   6- run the cmd tool and the activation. (try running the activation a couple of times if it doesn’t work)

   If it connects to “api.adguard.org” it deactivates just make sure that it’s 100% blocked, for some reason blocking on the host file doesn’t seem to work

4. dfsfse – Ublock has the option of using Adguard filters. Ublock is WAY better than Adguard alone.

5. uBlock just uses filters. If you disable filters it will stop block ads. Will you start hate it in this case?:) AdGuard blocks ads on larger number of sites. Just check their number of requests on github. Both Adguard and Ubo use Easylist – the main filter for 80-90% ads.

6. I’ve used both Aguard and Ublock Origin and found that Ublock works just as well, if not better than Aguard.

   If you do that, how is it supposed to update the ad filters?

   1. just block “api.adguard.org” don’t block entire adguard

8. Robert – You’re wrong. Ublock Origin gets rid of the same amount of ads. It even has the option of using the Aguard filters.

9. Remember this site has nothing to do with the actual software.

   What this site does is provide an easy to browse list of Mac torrents that can be got from any torrent site.

    2.Unistall Adguard.
    3.Install new Adguard.
    4.Run fix.
    5.Run activation tool.

    It seems that adding “api.adguard.org” to /etc/hosts is not enough, you have to use a application firewall.

    Instead of Radio Silence, you can also use a more powerfull firewall like LuLu (free & open-source).

    This way you can even update to 2.12.1.1398 (compatible with macOS Sonoma).
