Topaz Video AI 6.0.2 macOS
Time-aware video quality enhancement. Video Enhance AI uses information from multiple frames to achieve high-end results for video upscaling, denoising, deinterlacing, and restoration. Improving the quality of videos is substantially more complex than photos because of motion-related issues like flickering, blockiness, and wavy artifacts. To solve this issue, Video Enhance AI looks at surrounding frames to improve resolution and reduce motion artifacts for natural results.
Upscaling
Upscale video resolution with detail gathered from multiple frames. Our video upscaler can convert SD to HD and HD to 4k or 8k while adding crisp and natural video details.
Denoising
Remove noise and grain while recovering real detail in your videos. Minimize flickering and other temporal artifacts caused by frame-by-frame denoising approaches.
Deinterlacing
Use deep learning to convert interlaced videos to progressive while preserving image definition. Significantly reduces visual artifacts compared to traditional deinterlacing.
Restoration
Naturally restore old videos without adding visual artifacts. Restore realistic details and remove compression artifacts from old or degraded sources.
Frame rate conversion for 2021
Introduced in v2.3, the Chronos AI model uses deep learning to increase video frame rate without artifacts. Existing methods like frame blending and optical flow are decades old and produce inconsistent and unnatural results. Video Enhance AI generates new frames that are often indistinguishable from frames captured in-camera, enhancing videos with more natural results.
Increase video frame rate (24 to 60 FPS, 30 to 60 FPS)
To increase your video’s frame rate, you’ll need to generate new frames between your video’s existing frames. The existing ways to do this (frame blending, optical flow) often look unnatural and jittery especially with moving backgrounds. Video Enhance AI uses a new approach based on machine learning to “predict” the best intermediate frame between existing ones, which gives you much better results with a wider variety of material.
Create a smooth slow-motion effect
When you create a slow motion effect, it’s even more important that you generate new frames without stuttering or motion artifacts. Video Enhance AI creates much more natural slow motion results compared to traditional time interpolation.
Fewer motion artifacts
Other video upscaling techniques often create a “shimmering” or “flickering” effect from different processing in adjacent frames. VEAI is trained to significantly reduce such artifacts.
Recover video details
VEAI has been trained to inject real details into your videos, derived from the additional information in multiple adjacent frames, allowing us to deliver superior video enhancement.
Get more natural results
Traditional upscaling often causes artifacts. While visual artifacts do exist in VEAI too, they’re mitigated by information derived from multiple frames.
Trained on videos
VEAI was trained exclusively on video clips instead of still images. (The improved results are worth the increased effort to gather the dataset!)
Optimized for your hardware
We work directly with different hardware manufacturers to ensure the software works as fast as possible on your machine.
Convenient workflow
Easily convert and combine multiple videos from SD to HD, HD to 4k, and much more. Includes export presets and batch processing.
Flexible import / export
Supports common video file types and image sequence as input, and export directly to mp4, mov, or image sequence.
Batch processing
Leave Video Enhance AI running overnight with your videos queued up, and come back in the morning to enhanced footage.
Compatibility: macOS 10.12 or later.

Wow, this one actually works.
The README file is a bit confusing, so here’s what you need to do:
1. Extract the .zip file.
2. Go into the extracted folder, and open the .dmg. Drag the app to ‘applications’ to install it.
3. Hold down the ‘option’ key and right-click on the ‘topazvideo602.sh’ file.
4. Click on ‘Copy “topazvideo602.sh” as Pathname’
5. Open Terminal
6. Type in chmod +x
7. Leave a space, then paste in the pathname you copied. Hit [enter]
8. This will make the .sh file executable.
9. Then simply paste the pathname into terminal again, on its own. Hit [enter]
10. Enter your system password if asked.
11. That’s it. The app should be patched now.

WAY too much BS to “crack” this
January 12, 2025 6:10 am
Those aren’t BS. They are steps to get the app working. If it is way to complicated for you to follow, then don’t do it. The poster should be credited for helping other users.

I get a ‘permission denied’ message on step 7 – what do I need to do???
I’m totally illiterate on Terminal and commands….
THANK YOU!
January 12, 2025 2:37 pm
What happened to the other previous versions that you just ran a script in Terminal to cracked it?
Why should you have to go through all this BS to crack this?
January 12, 2025 2:41 pm
I don’t like this newer version six. I find that version 5.52 works the best.
You just ran an easy script and it was cracked. I agree with Aaron.
Don’t see any reason to upgrade specially since the script to crack this is so complicated.

You’re absolutely right Ken

Just to confirm, Martin’s instructions work flawlessly. Actually, a simpler way is as follows:
1. After install. load terminal and issue a: chmod +x (make sure you type a space after x)
2. Drag the topazvideo602.sh file into the terminal window and hit enter
3. Drag the topazvideo602.sh file again into the terminal window, hit enter then enter your admin password,
hit enter. You’re done!

Some of us are ‘copy/paste’, some are ‘drag and drop’. It’s what makes the world go round!
January 13, 2025 3:18 pm
Thanks for posting the easier way to crack it PunkyPurple. Works perfectly.
That’s what we need more of — SIMPLICITY
January 13, 2025 3:48 pm
Hi PunkyPurple I get access denied at step 3. How can I fix it.
January 13, 2025 7:27 pm
Did you get to the type your password after dragging the topazvideo602. sh the 2nd time?
January 13, 2025 7:30 pm
True, Martin.
January 14, 2025 3:03 pm
After application of patch i see always activation or free demo..what’s wrong? should i close internet first?
January 15, 2025 10:44 am
Thanks Punky Purple!!
January 15, 2025 10:58 am
Didn’t work. Still seeing Demo version
January 15, 2025 12:10 pm
Does anybody know where the list of previews has disappeared to? It used to be a scrollable list in the window, but I can’t find it anywhere…
January 15, 2025 1:42 pm
I followed Martin’s instructions btw
January 17, 2025 10:33 pm
Is this actually 6.0.2? The newest version I can see them releasing is 6.0.1, so I’m kinda skeptical of a random “crack” being newer.
January 18, 2025 8:43 pm
I don’t like this new version 6
Best version is 5.52
January 23, 2025 11:39 am
Lol there’s no version “5.52” I’m assuming you all meant “5.5.1” since there is no “5.52”

Make sure Terminal is allowed to modify or delete other apps. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > App Management and make sure Terminal is allowed to modify or delete other apps.

The preview doesn’t work. If I render it to a file it is indeed doing the enchantments, but the previews don’t show then so I have to set it blindly. Has anyone else the same problem?

im experiencing this . is this how it only works?
