if the app non respond or freeze, try to disable “Show help prompt” in settings. It works great with a
base model Mac mini M4

Didn’t work on M4 Pro. Also did a clean install twice after doing a dirty install. It’s non-responsive, getting into Preferences is tricky but once in, even disabling Show Help Prompt didn’t work, it was off already on dirty install.
Turning off all internet, made it a bit more responsive, but the app itself wasn’t opening images or editing.

Hey there.
I’m getting an error while installing the VL License.
It tells me that the installation failed and that the software cannot create a folder.
Anyone knows how to solve it.

I Found a solution
I have MacBook Air M2 16GB Ram
and Mac Mini M1 16 GB Ram, Both gave the same slowness, so it wasn’t the Computer problem.
when using the Topaz, every step is very slow, I have to move to a different screen then come back immediately to see the change, even when accessing setting.
So I figured it out the Volume Licenser is causing the slowness.
Uninstall the Topaz Photo AI, remove any trace files in Library/preferences.
Restart the Mac
install Topaz again, preferable (what I did) from their website.
Launch Topaz and use it a bit, after creating or logging to an account.
Close Topaz, Install the Volume Licenser.
Restart the Mac
Voilà, it should be working without a hitch.
