Works, but says “This is a time limited trial version of CrossOver. It will stop working in 14 days.”
I did a manual install.

Disregard my previous comment, it works fine!
Do a manual install.
1. Open .dmg file and move/install Crossover.App in the applications or program folder
2. Copy the Croslic folder to the desktop found inside Extra folder.
3. Launch in the License.Tool* terminal (admin rights (password) will be required)
4. You can use the program
*Open terminal app and just move the file to the terminal window and it will work.

Can you please go into more detail for a complete newbie to this sort of thing and a relative newbie to Macs?
I tried doing the License.Tool step by moving the file you mentioned into the terminal, but it won’t accept my password for some reason. That same password allows me to log into this Mac all the time, but the Terminal won’t accept it, as it just says “zsh: command not found: (entered password).”
