Adguard 2.12.0.1385 Release Multilingual macOS

Adguard is the best way to get rid of annoying ads, protect yourself from online surveillance and fraudulent sites. Adguard is an Internet filter to protect users from dangerous websites and block all possible types of advertising on the Internet. The program is an excellent addition to your main anti-virus protection with effective blocking of malicious, fraudulent and phishing resources, and parental control over children’s online activity.

Efficient ad blocking
How to remove ads on Mac? AdGuard adblocker is the answer. Pop-ups, video adverts, banners and such — they will all go away. Due to unnoticeable background filtering and cosmetic processing, all you will see is clean pages with the content you came for.

Safe web surfing
Mac computers are much less susceptible to malware, but it would be just plain wrong to ignore possible threats. There are still plenty of phishing and fraudulent websites on the Internet, and AdGuard will protect you from them.

Privacy protection
AdGuard fights against all trackers and analytical systems that spy on you thanks to the special Tracking Protection filter designed by the AdGuard team. It accumulates rules against all known online analytics that try to steal your private data.

Filtering inside apps
There are plenty of otherwise great apps that just can’t resist showing ads to you. AdGuard lets you have the best of both worlds by giving an option to filter traffic of any app installed on your Mac.

Works everywhere
Can’t choose a favorite browser? No problem, AdGuard program stops ads in all of them, from Safari and Chrome to the most exotic ones.

3 in 1
No need for extra applications or browser extensions. Just download ad blocker for Mac by AdGuard and kill a small flock of birds with one stone.

Compatibility: macOS 10.15 or higher – Intel 64-bit CPU – Apple M1 chip

  1. 1- Uninstall old version
    2- Install Adguard
3- Open little snitch network monitor
4- Open Adguard and finish setting it up.
5- Check little Snitch and block only “api.adguard.org” (do not block the entire adguard)
6- run the cmd tool and the activation. (try running the activation a couple of times if it doesn’t work)

If it connects to “api.adguard.org” it deactivates just make sure that it’s 100% blocked, for some reason blocking on the host file doesn’t seem to work

  2. uBlock just uses filters. If you disable filters it will stop block ads. Will you start hate it in this case?:) AdGuard blocks ads on larger number of sites. Just check their number of requests on github. Both Adguard and Ubo use Easylist – the main filter for 80-90% ads.

  3. Robert – You’re wrong. Ublock Origin gets rid of the same amount of ads. It even has the option of using the Aguard filters.

  4. Remember this site has nothing to do with the actual software.

What this site does is provide an easy to browse list of Mac torrents that can be got from any torrent site.

  5. Finally it works.

    1.Block with little snitch adguard.
    2.Unistall Adguard.
    3.Install new Adguard.
    4.Run fix.
    5.Run activation tool.

    1. Diti, you say: 4) Run Fix, 5) Run Activation tool;
I only see the main AdGuard file and the activation tool, there is no “fix”; even the attached instructions don’t mention it.

  6. Searchandfind is right.

It seems that adding “api.adguard.org” to /etc/hosts is not enough, you have to use a application firewall.

Instead of Radio Silence, you can also use a more powerfull firewall like LuLu (free & open-source).

This way you can even update to 2.12.1.1398 (compatible with macOS Sonoma).

    Thanks for sharing!

  7. Once it is installed and activated, you must prevent it from connecting to its site to check the license, with the Radio Silence application that you can download from this site

  8. You’re right Todd.
Looks like they don’t test any of their software on this site. Even when they don’t work, they still keep it posted there.
