Do the following once the file has been downloaded:
Copy the folder “SketchUp 2025” to /Applications/
Double-click on SketchUp.app
It refuses to open. Go to System Settings > Privacy and Security > Open Anyway
It launches but hangs. Force quit.
Type `xattr -cr /Applications/SketchUp\ 2025/SketchUp.app ` and validate in Terminal.
Launch Sketchup again. It may hang again on the video presentation of Layout.
If so, force quit and launch it again: it works now 🙂”

Got it to work through instructions from Edward Teach for the 2025 version. Replace 2025 with 2026 and you’re good.

I keep getting no such file exists
Comment censored again. As Bill states, it doesn’t open. It just hangs. No idea why my comments are forever moderated out on this site
As Bill said, just hangs doing nothing.
Doesnt start up even after telling MacOS its safe. Just becomes app not responding. For both Sketchup and Layout.
