Procolorist Genesis v1.2.2 for DaVinci Reslove MacOS
Genesis is the film look design tool built for colorists, filmmakers, and image makers who want the feel, texture, and emotional depth of photochemical film — but with modern flexibility and speed. It doesn’t just mimic film; it recreates how film behaves, so your imagery carries the same soul and texture that Hollywood features depend on
What makes Genesis special
Authentic Film Stock Modeling: Genesis includes 55 film stocks—standing on the shoulders of classic Kodak and Fuji negatives and prints. Each stock is modeled with the real chemistry and traits it exhibits in the lab, not just a LUT or curve to approximate the look.
True Printer Lights & Bleach Bypass: Want to push or pull contrast, break out bleach bypass, or play with printer points the way colorists have done in analog labs for decades? Genesis offers these controls, with the photochemical behavior you’d expect—not abstraction.
Grain, Halation & Interlayer Effects: Realistic grain and highlight halation (that subtle glow around bright highlights) are built in, crafted by Steve Yedlin, ASC. Also included: an interlayer effect that gives saturation richness without messing up your contrast.
Flexible Workflows: Genesis isn’t rigid. It supports HDR outputs; allows LUT export; works in several color spaces; lets you neutralize tone curves or stylize them. Whether you want a gritty punch or a soft cinematic glow, you have control.
Why It Matters
When you use Genesis, you’re not just “applying a look.” You’re working with an image reproduction pipeline. You can match references from favorite films, or invent something new, and what you get isn’t just “pretty” — it feels tactile. Skin tones, contrasts, fades, halation — all respond like they would in film. And because many Hollywood images still use film pipelines (or emulate them closely), Genesis lets you close that gap.

A new update just came out, can we do it after install without breaking it ?
/Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle: replacing existing signature
Genesis plugin: No license found. !
I have the same issue but it ws working a few weeks ago
Can some please, find FilmBox Pro, please, please, please.
i can confirm its working 100%!
dont create OFX folder, u will find it at:
MACINTOSH HD/ library / OFX / Plugins
and past the Genesis.ofx.bundle
It works!
1. Download and install the trial version from their website. Don’t insert the key provided in the e-mail.
2.Copy Genesis.ofx.bundle to: /Library/OFX/Plugins
3. Copy CKCLicense_genesis_blk.lic to: /Users//Library/Application Support/com.cullen-kelly-color.plugin-manager` BUT you need to enable reading the hidden folder “Command+Shift+period” to see the hidden ‘Library’ folder
4. Open terminal and paste [Codesign and dequarantine the plugin with]:
sudo codesign -fs – –deep /Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle
sudo xattr -cr /Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle
5. Restart MAC
6. Open Davinci and enjoy Genesis
Works like a charm, i just fowed the simple steps. Thanks a LOT ! Will we be able to update it ?
FIRST YOU MUST INSTALL THE DEMO AND THEN FOLLOW THE STEPS INSIDE THE DOWNLOADED FOLDER, WORKING PERFECTLY ON AN M1 PRO
How did you make it work?)
Yeah the same(( DVR 20 arm mac the ofx is not recognized by davinci
What does thismean?
3. Codesign and dequarantine the plugin with:
sudo codesign -fs – –deep /Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle
sudo xattr -cr /Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle
SO THERE IS NO SOLUTION FOR INTEL MACS
is it needed to install the demo first?
I followed the instructions, not working, yet when i install the demo it does work and removes the watermark.
When i uninstalled the cullen kelly color app it stops working, saying it can not find the license
Also the second step :
2. Copy CKCLicense_genesis_blk.lic to:
/Users//Library (it doesn’t show by default, so up your top left menus, tap view, then show view options and check library folder) /Application Support/com.cullen-kelly-color.plugin-manager`
I needed to create the folder as there was no folder with the name: com.cullen-kelly-color.plugin-manager
Thank you in advance
No OFX folder in Library
make sure you are dropping the license file to “/Users//Library…” , u need to enable reading the hidden folder “Command+Shift+period” to see the hidden ‘Library’ folder. Dropping into the ‘Library from Macintosh ‘ is different from dropping into “Users/Library(Hidden)”
M1 mac DVR 20 : it works great!
I did everything on the tuto, not okay on DaVinci
The readme files says that the fix is only supposed to work on ARM macs
On M1 max with Davinci 20.1, I followed the steps but it doesnt work : “No license found”
1. Copy Genesis.ofx.bundle to:
/Library/OFX/Plugins
2. Copy CKCLicense_genesis_blk.lic to:
/Users//Library (it doesn’t show by default, so up your top left menus, tap view, then show view options and check library folder) /Application Support/com.cullen-kelly-color.plugin-manager`
3. Codesign and dequarantine the plugin with:
sudo codesign -fs – –deep /Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle
sudo xattr -cr /Library/OFX/Plugins/Genesis.ofx.bundle
license not found… M3
Hello, could someone help me install this? I’m using Davinci 20 and following the steps in the readme file, but Davinci doesn’t recognize these plugins at all. Should I also install Plugin Manager? If so, it also shows that there are no licenses loaded. I have no idea how to make this work; I’ve been struggling with this all day, and maybe I’m just missing something and doing it wrong.
can tell me steps for add davinci 20.
Does Open Core Legacy Patcher help out?
As it allows old Macs to run new macOS I am not sure, just wanted to offer something 🙂
working fine on m1 Mac but does not load on intel mac , any solution
