  1. Installation was fine. I had issues with Permissions even though I had already granted it.
So I decided to revert to version 4.5 which has been working fine all this time

  2. Hey everyone,

Just sharing my experience with CleanShot X 4.8.4 [EDiSO] on macOS 26.0.1 (Tahoe).
The app runs (process shows up, no crash), but:
    • There’s no menu bar icon,
    • The Preferences window doesn’t open (Cmd + , or –showPreferences do nothing),
    • No relevant logs in log stream,
    • And the bundled LaunchAtLoginHelper.app isn’t registered in LaunchAgents.

After inspecting the binary: (i mean, chatGPT lol…)
    • The internal InsiderKit.framework (handles Preferences and some UI components) seems to be missing,
    • Several symbols like IKPreferenceV… are referenced but orphaned,
    • LSUIElement is set to true, but the app never initializes its UI layer.

In short, the EDiSO build appears to have UI and licensing components stripped, which breaks the icon and settings interface.

    🧩 For reference
otool -L confirms AppKit and SwiftUI dependencies,
    nm reveals missing InsiderKit symbols,
no XPCServices are present, and the helper app doesn’t register itself.

If anyone actually got this version working with a functional menu bar icon or Preferences window on Tahoe, please share the method or patch steps.

    Thanks for reading!
