Celemony Melodyne 5 Studio v5.1.1.003 macOS

New technologies, for better results in less time. Thanks to the fundamentally improved “Melodic” algorithm, Melodyne makes your vocal editing even better than before. With perfect, natural corrections at the press of a key. Thanks to the Chord Track, you can adapt notes with lightning speed to suit the song – chord recognition included. And with the unique Fade Tool, you can create note-based fades – even in polyphonic recordings and samples.

All this is new:

  • the ability to edit pitched and noise-like components separately with the “Melodic” algorithm
  • a more musical analysis of pitch deviations
  • the Chord Track and Chord Grid for pitch editing, chord recognition
  • the Fade Tool and Leveling Macro for editing dynamics
  • an additional algorithm (“Percussive Pitched”) plus other algorithm improvements
  • search functions for keyboard shortcuts, saving of shortcut sets

Compatibility: macOS 10.12 or later 64-bit

  5. Bonjour,
Merci d’avance

  6. For those still using intel, firstly make sure you are using the correct library folder when replacing the files recommended in K’d “Instructions.txt”.

The library folder to use is the one that is NOT hidden.
If you can’t find it, go to Finder > Preferences > Sidebar > Device Tab > “Tick your mac name or macintosh”

Go the finder sidebar and you should see “Your mac’s name” e.g “SolutionGuy’s Mac Pro”
You should see the library folder inside.

    Restart your mac.

    Go to Terminal:

    Paste these codes in terminal one line at a time and press enter after pasting each;

(If is asks for a password, enter your mac login password and press enter)
(If it doesn’t give you an error, the code was executed correctly)

    sudo chmod -R 755 /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app

    xattr -cr /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app

    sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component

    xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component

    sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb

    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb

    sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3

    xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3

    Test Melodyne standalone.

    1. Hi thanks for this but I’ve done everything above to the T and i still get the popup asking me to activate melodyne.

after running the codes I’m assuming there’s supposed to be no activation pop-up so what do we do next?

    2. Hi thanks so much for this but I followed everything to the T and I still get the activation pop-up. Im assuming that its supposed to go away if it worked so what do we do next?

      1. NEVERMIND

i just deleted the old files and started the whole process over from start to finish and its working now :))

massive shoutout to everyone in this thread!

  7. The download file I installed was a ‘chrome installer’ and now I have adware in Chrome that crashes my adblock extensions. I’ve tried uninstalling Chrome, switching profiles, ran deep scans in Clean My Mac, but ads keep popping up, even when Chrome is quit. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  8. This couldn’t have been any easier to install for me. All I had to do was replace the folders in the desired locations and that was it. Opened ableton and then loaded the plugin and worked like a charm/ Easiest crack I’ve ever installed. Didn’t even need to use terminal.

    1. YO HOW MAN?

I use abletone live 11.1 and after installing and placing melodyne in library on mac it shows up in my plugins but when I throw it on a track its grayed out saying “This Audio Unit Plugin could not be opened”

how can I get it to open in my project files?

  9. Hey just thought I’d help after I found out seconds ago. I followed all instructions and thought I did everything right. Found a small piece of info that made this FINALLY work! Someone else’s advice:

“Mine exists after install. But when i search the hidden library application support folder it doesnt exist. Maybe you checked the wrong place? Has to be the ‘normal’ non-hidden library folder i guess. hope it makes sense”

I was placing the files in the “hidden” library folder rather than the normal library folder. Open finder then, “Macintosh” and then library should be staring you in the face. After I made that change, no problems at all! Hope this helps at least one person because for so long I too was frustrated.

    1. WTF………… He saved me…..!!!

      AYY BROS.
CHECK THE “NORMAL” LIBRARY FOLDER, NOT HIDDEN.

      ex)
      good :
Macintosh -> library -> Application Support, Audio folder
      there’re ‘bundles’ folder already… lol!

      bad :
Users -> ‘your Mac name’ -> Application Support, Audio folder
there aren’t ‘bundles’ folder. I guess you try to make some new folders….

  10. Okay, well mine seems to be a REALLY weird one. I have followed everything here and seem to have the standalone app working, but I didn’t have it appearing in Logic. After having gone to the Plugin manager I saw it was there in the list but “could not be opened”. Don’t know if this was because it was unvalidated or not working properly. Anyway, I ticked the box next to it so it would at least show up in the list of plugins. Sure enough, it is there, not under “Celemony” but under “Incompatible”. I clicked it, expecting nothing, error or crash. It opened, perfectly! I have tried it all out and closed and opened projects and it seems utterly fine! The only thing is that it remains in “Incompatible”. They should maybe relabel that title as “Compatible but we’re not going to tell you”… The only thing I really don’t like is that every time I open Logic it tells me that two plugins (both Melodyne) are not compatible and may cause Logic to crash etc. etc. Would like to know if anyone has found a definitive way to make this work for Logic. I know some have already, but evidently there are other issues – we can’t ALL be not following the instructions…!

  11. I’ve followed all the Terminal steps and still can’t get it to work. I’m on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 running Logic Pro X 10.6.3. Can someone please type out a very specific step-by-step because trying to filter through all these comments to find decent information isn’t working. Do I need to restart my computer at all? What is going wrong?

  12. Any help open it in PT?
    I’m running on Catalina

    issue:
Melodyne 5.1.0 (b 016) has encountered a problem that prevents it from loading properly.

Please contact Celemony Software GmbH for further assistance.

  13. mine on big sur says: melodyne has encoutered a problem that prevents it from loading correctly

  14. Bit of a noob here. I’m using GarageBand, how do I make it appear in my plugins? Or where should it be???

  15. Avian’s Instructions made it work. Nothing else worked. Please make this part of instructions. Catalina 10.15.7 here.

  16. After doing all the steps, try entering xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component
in terminal, of course, for AU. Worked for me in Logic

  17. Hi Guys.. I’ve corrected the paths. It works just fine under the latest MacOS

    —————————————

    1. Install

    2. Replace with K’d Files in following locations:

    APP – /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app

    AU – /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component

    BUNDLE – /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb

    VST3 – /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3

    3. Run these commands in terminal:

    xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component
xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb
xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3
    xattr -cr /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app
    sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component
    sudo chmod -R 775 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3
    sudo chmod -R 775 /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb
    sudo chmod -R 755 /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app
    sudo codesign -fs – /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component
    sudo codesign -fs – /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3
    sudo codesign -fs – /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb
    sudo codesign -fs – /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app

    4. Have fun

    1. Hi asdf,

When I attempt the “sudo codesign -fs – /FILE” terminal commands, I get this error: “error: The specified item could not be found in the keychain.”

Running Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.3. Any idea how to circumvent this?

  18. Does not work on Big Sur 11.2. For half the K’d files, Terminal says “no such file exists” when I try to run the first command. For the application itself, Terminal says it for both commands.

    1. It Works Fine Just worked for me on BIG SUR Logic 10.5 you guys just need to restart your mac before doing the commands. THx aivan

    2. same here, any ideas? can someone show us what to do with this please? In Application support, there is no folder named Celemony. I’m on big Sur.

  19. I finally got it to work on Big Sur… at least Studio works fine. I’m not sure about logic pro.

First, Install & Replace files like “Instructions.txt” says. Then, open Terminal and do these 2 commands to ALL K’d files.

    sudo chmod -R 755 /FILE_LOCATION/FILE.FORMAT
    and
    xattr -cr /FILE_LOCATION/FILE.FORMAT

    For example:
    sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb
    and
    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb

    1. Worked for me on my M1, thank you so much Avian! It didn’t work initially, and I was getting the message that some of the locations couldn’t be found on Terminal, so I realised that it was because the folder names had spaces in them. You have to backslash it in order for the space to not mess the code up, so instead of Application Support, it has to be Application\ Support. Likewise for Melodyne\ 5. Here were my exact codes:

      sudo chmod -R 755 /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app
      xattr -cr /Applications/Melodyne\ 5/Melodyne.app

      sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component
      xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Melodyne.component

      sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb
      xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Celemony/Bundles/MelodyneCore-5.1.1.003.sbb

      sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3
      xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Melodyne.vst3

        1. Hi, could you explain please?
I replaced each originals by K’d Files… Monterey refused to open Logic… Then i copied the codes from Lin : Logic open but there was not Melodyne… Any idea?
          Thanks a lot !

      1. Ableton doesn’t detect the VST3 unfortunately. I had to enable AU plugins in Ableton in order to see the Melodyne. Is there any fix for this? Other than that, thank you so much!
