Same here -> “bad signature in license (-5)”
Followed exactly all steps indicated in the pervious posts (incl. disablig SIP first via recovery boot). The way it is now this programm doesn’t work.
Not working M1 Sonoma “bad license signature” any one have luck?
– 1. Disable SIP (Important) (Recovery Mode > Terminal > csrutil disable > Restart PC)
– 2. Install “Optics-2024.pkg”
– 3. Copy “Genarts” folder to path: /Library/Application Support/
– 4. Copy “_license_activation.so” file to path: /Applications/BorisFX/Optics 2024/Optics.app/Contents/MacOS/pylib
– 5. Copy “Optics” and “sapphire.metallib” files to path: /Applications/BorisFX/Optics 2024/Optics.app/Contents/MacOS
(Overwrite all files)
chmod +x /Applications/BorisFX/Optics\ 2024/Optics.app/Contents/MacOS/Optics

Is it safe to disable SIP or enable it again after using the apps?
I notice that many filters have X Marks and cannot be used.
I hope this can be fixed and can be used without disabling the SIP to prevent malware

works on when you disable the SIP (sonoma)
but when you enable the SIP, it won’t work! 🙁
The Application folder has only the Optics executable file app. No /BorisFX/Optics 2024/Optics.app/Contents/MacOS. I guess I erred in some steps in this simple installation. But I managed to get the new Adobe Lightroom Classic 13.01 working for me whose installation is much more difficult.
It’s OK. ‘Not good forcing what’s not installable for you.
“this program cannot be run” ….i worked out the steps and the locations for myself before the above was posted (it’s not rocket science) and it just doesn’t work FULL STOP !! (M1 Mac and Sonoma 14.1)

And re-enable SIP afterwards? Or does it need to stay disabled to run after installation?

Hello in the treatment it is indicated in step 2: “-2. Copy The Silhouette and apply it on this path /Applications/BorisFX/Optics 2024/Optics.app/Contents/MacOS done!”. Mail file the silhouette is not there. And when I open it it gives me bad signature in license
