TRUE LEGATO:
Berlin Woodwinds has True Legato (interval sampling) for all instruments and sections! To achieve the highest level of realism and detail, we have recorded every interval up to an octave. That means you will hear the natural transitions from one note to another. Every true legato patch is sampled with three dynamic crossfade layers!
Add key noises:
We have recorded the instruments’ key noises of every note. You can add key noises to your legato playing with a dedicated knob on the GUI.
BUILDING ENSEMBLES:
BWW´s concept of building ensembles or divisi parts offers you the highest value of flexibility. Additional recorded ensembles like the flutes and clarinets enhance this concept and make possible the creation of special patches, like the RUNS BUILDER and ensemble runs.

WOODWIND RUNS:
In film music and big orchestral scores, woodwinds and runs belong together. There is nothing more joyful than airy flutes and clarinets playing fast lines up and down in octaves shimmering over the orchestra. Doing a woodwind library without offering a solution for this kind of orchestrational stuff just made no sense to us. Orchestral String Runs was our first commercial library and we tried out many things to come up with the best sounding and most flexible solution. With our experience gained in creating OSR and OSR2 and the feedback received from of our customers, who sent us e-mails with ideas and suggestions, we improved these run algorithms dramatically over the course of many updates. Now we can all use the best of it in Berlin Woodwinds.
All recorded octave scale runs and the RUNS BUILDER are synced to your host tempo to perfectly fit into your musical situations.

Create your own runs out of thousands of tempo-synced figures and micro runs! The new RUNS BUILDER is a very powerful and flexible tool. Many scales like major, minor, wholetone, chromatic, etc. are supported. The idea behind this tool: Using the unbeatable realism of pre-recorded runs but making them much more flexible. The RUNS BUILDER is available for clarinet ensemble (a3) and a flute ensemble in octaves (a2+flute 8va or piccolo in the higher register).
Pre-Recorded Scale Runs
Berlin Woodwinds includes hundreds of recorded runs in major and minor scales. Nearly every instrument and section has its own pre-recorded runs and they can be stacked to your custom WW ensembles. We have recorded every run at different tempos. With Native Instruments’ TimeMachine Pro, the runs are always synced with one of the best high definition time-stretching algorithms.
Playable Runs
For BWW we have created special Playable Runs patches. The concept is pretty similar to the True Legato concept. Really fast transitions with repetitions and intervals up to a 5th enable playing very fast lines at the highest level of realism. These patches are available for both solo instruments and ensembles.

The Trills Orchestrator script manages the biggest collection of different trills and interval tremolos ever created and it is a huge time-saver! Choose your trill interval by just pressing the starting note and final note.
BWW has up to 7 different trill intervals:
half tone, whole tone, minor 3rd, major 3rd, 4th, augmented 4th and 5th trills
